Memorial-Area CPA firm seeking a hard-working, professional accountant for its boutique client-focused office. Candidates considered for this position must be able to work individually as well as part of a team. Our team-based organization means that we all wear many “hats” to serve our all-important clients.
Position Duties:
- Prepare Income Tax Returns for individual and business clients
- Prepare Texas State Franchise Tax Returns
- Organization of tax records and preparation of excel worksheets
- Communication with clients to resolve tax and accounting issues
- Tax planning and consulting for clients
- QuickBooks
- IRS & State Tax Resolution
The successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years tax or CPA firm work experience, specifically with the preparation of Federal, corporate and partnership tax returns. (1040, 1120S, 1120, 1041, 1065 & 990)
- Familiar with reconciliation of bank statements
- Understanding of the technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong time management skills while working with multiple clients and deadlines
- Friendly personality and a people-person
- Committed to excellence and strong work ethic
- Skilled in the use of QuickBooks
- Pro-Series experience is a plus
